We're trying to clean up our Provider Dictionary, along with cleaning up
the process for entering new providers and making changes in existing
ones. We've currently got our HIM staff, Medical Staff Liaison, Patient
Accounts staff & Pharmacy staff making changes in this thing, and no one
really owns it. Who in your facility owns the Provider Dictionary?
Also, when you have multiple providers whose names follow your mnemonic
patterns (IE: Daniel Stephen {STEDA} and David Stewart {STEDA}), what
mnemonic do you assign the second one? Do you add a number after the
letters, so that it would be STEDA1, or do you do something different?
