Gail,

We're C/S 5.5 SR2 and have been using CWS for OP Rehab for over 2 years now.
We have an appointment type built for initial Eval and our OP Rehab Secretaries
schedule only this first appointment for a Therapist who has time available on
their schedule. At the end of the eval appointment, the Therapist themselves
go into the SCH module and coordinate with the patient to book out their
appointments according to their own schedule. The patient stays with the same
Therapist (Resource Schedule) through the course of treatment whenever
possible. I know that they do use the series appointment routine, but I'm not
sure they use the declining pattern by week that you're describing. We do not
use pending appointments.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Series Appointments

Anyone using Community Wide Scheduling for a Physical Therapy department? I am
trying to implement and cannot find an efficient way to negotiate screens
quickly to search for the therapist who can see the patient for the first week
every day, then 3x per week, then 2x per week. It would appear that the series
routine would have to be used 3 times to accomplish this. Also, when
processing pending appointments how do you quickly view the therapist who has
the next 8 weeks open? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
