Hello smart people out there, I need some help with building an OE rule where it will flag the user that a previous CMP has been done within the same date of service if anytime that day they will order a BMP or another CMP. Medicare won't pay for our ER/OP patients, if both panels are ordered on the same day. I used the one from Meditech KB #20523, but it doesn't work (it doesn't flag about the first order). I have been asking meditech to help me with this issue for like a month now. Finally today, they told me that this rule won't work and that THERE'S NO SUCH RULE THAT WILL SOLVE THIS ISSUE. I have a rule already that can flag if these 2 panels are ordered on the same session, but what I need is for 2 different sessions (on the same day). Isn't it so frustrating when Meditech tells you that there's no solution to your problem! I do believe there are smart people out there that can help me with this.
