Does anyone know how their Radiology department is handling the coding of surgical procedures? Since you can not charge the fluoro charge for most surgical procedures (since it is considered an integral part of the procedure). Do you charge surgery for those procedures, offset the exam charge to compensate, or charge the exam through surgery billing and auto route the reimbursement back to radiology cost center? Any insight on this process would be greatly appreciated.
