Of course, it will be up to the trainer (tperl maybe???) how he handes
this step, but I imagined that there would be one local server that
would share the SDK with everyone, and get them installing it live.

If *I* were running the session I'd probably use the dead time while the
SDK is installing to explain the next steps & help people who are having
trouble (as some people always will). In fact, I'd probably try to
recruit 2 or 3 "lab assistants" to go around & help people having
problems as they arose.
