I did install meego on my eeepc manually.

mkfs.btrfs the root partition, mkfs.ext3 the boot partition with your
favorite linux;
boot from usb image, and copy the file to hard disc;
syslinux the boot partition; 
than restart you netbook, and enjoy the meego. 

manual config network, and use yum or zypper to install any rpm in the
meego's or moblin's repo.
