Odd, I just did everything from scratch again and it works for me. Are you sure 
you are using the latest MeeGo QEMU from 
git://gitorious.org/qemu-maemo/qemu.git?

This is a problem related to the twl4030 chip emulation in QEMU. As this 
register is implemented in the latest MeeGo QEMU this would indicate that you 
are using an older version. Could you please download and compile QEMU again?
