Is "test" a valid notification type? Try the longer form of addNotification
which allows
you to specify message strings.
I'm guessing this is the "type" entry? If so then using some arbitrary
value will just result in our display of the notification falling back
to a default layout. You should be able to use a type
"we-dont-need-no-stinken-type" and the notification will still work, but
with a default layout using a generic icon.
