Is this a problem with the "numerical dispersion" and that ultra- short pulses are unfortunately ideal to probe numerical dispersion? If it is numerical dispersion, then the effect will decrease as you increase resolution.

Basically, keep increasing the resolution by factors of 1.5 or 2 until the answer stops changing to your satisfaction. Then the result is converged. If you are still seeing unwanted dispersion at that point, then it is something else that you aren't understanding.
