Our Planning Director just came to me with
an idea that he thought was great. I want to run it by you to see if
anyone has tried it and if I should know about any red flags.
For new development, he does not want to do a Mello Roos
district. He wants to do a development agreement. The
operations deficit is $150, per year, per house. He wants to collect
$3,000 up front and use the interest, based on 5%, to pay for the operations
deficit. Any thoughts on this?
