The City of Fresno is considering a change in policy on how open PO's are treated at year end. Under current policy, all open PO's are re-encumbered (carried over) into the next fiscal year. A proposed change is to have only those PO's related to construction-type contracts carried over. All other PO's would be closed out (liquidated). We are interested in learning how other city's are treating PO's that are open at the end of a fiscal year. We will be meeting on this subject later today. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
