Subject: [CSMFO Members] AB 2412 Clicks and mortar bill

Send your letters of support to your assembly representative today. The
bill will be on the house floor next week and this is a critical step. This
bill determine that a nexus exists for sales tax collection on the internet
sales affiliates of national firms that have bricks and motar stores in
CAlifornia, for example Barnes and Noble that sells books both in store and
over the internet. The bill would establish that sales tax must be
collected on internet sales to CAlifornia residents.

The bill has a good chance for passage if it clears the Assembly floor. Get
those letters in. For more detail, refer to notices in Legislative
Bulletins 11, 13,14 and 16.
