The City of Fremont is currently recruiting for a Benefits/Payroll Manager ($60,120 - 
$81,156 annually, with excellent benefits).  This is a new position.  As part of our 
successful implementation of PeopleSoft for payroll and benefits processing and 
management, we have combined the 3-person payroll unit and the 3-person benefits unit 
into one work group in Personnel.  This work group also includes a Personnel Analyst 
to provide additional support in the benefits area.  The new Benefits/Payroll Manager 
will assume a key leadership role in the development and management of this newly 
created group.  The position reports to the Personnel Manager in charge of the 
department and will work as part of a team with other senior personnel management 
staff.  The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience in both 
benefits and payroll administration.

Fremont is a full-service city (with the exception of utilities) and has a population 
of 200,000 and an authorized staffing level of 975.45 FTE.  If you're interested in
