Recognizing the
excellence of our CSMFO email group, our Public Works Director, asked that I
poll you to get some information that he couldn’t get from his PW group. Major
telecommunication providers have requested access to our streets in order to
provide various services and we are trying to come up with an appropriate telecom
ordinance to handle these and future requests. One of the provisions that is being discussed is the
requirement to have each provider enter into a separate licensing agreement. I would greatly
appreciate any information you have regarding how you have handled this
