Michael,
Bosch make an 85 amp replacement for
about $190 new.
Lights: Get a pair of Cibie high beam inserts
and a pair of Cibie Hi/lo outers all with 100w globes, plus a pair of
Cibie "Superoscar" driving lights with spread beam lenses. Connect
them all via a quality relay using 4mm wire from battery, to relay,
to globe, to earth. This is the traditional setup and it
provides great lights with minimal body mods. Zenon lights are
probably better but the cost may be fairly steep.
