Danielwhy don't u just put the 240k stuff oni reckon its the best setup for the 1600 without
going to 4 spots240k fronts r31
rears perfect but i think u have to run
14's???
There are 3 sizes of
240K discs, the large 270 mm 2 spots would be lucky to fit 13" wheels, maybe
with a bit of grinding, R31 rears the min wheel size is
14"
Help me here guysAs a sideline has anyone actually
weighed each of the configurations to see which is the
lightest??it is unsprung weight
after all
Surprisingly there is
not much difference, only a kg or so between legs with 200B/Girlock alloys
and C210 Skyline/270mm Akobono 2 spots. I've never weighed a Verada vented
setup on 180B legs but the dunny callipers are heavy even though the are
alloy.

Terry

Subject: Brake
conversions
To whom it may
concern, I was checking out the 200B brake
conversion on the adelaide 1600 club webpage and wondered what struts are
required? Can you use the 1600 struts or do you have to have the
200B struts. If the 200B struts are a requirement, can 1600 springs
be adapted to them(my lowered springs are only two months old) Is
the rotor solid, cross drilled or ventilated? Is it a single, double or
four(probably not) piston caliper? Is the 200B booster a strict
requirement or would a 180B booster(which I already have) or even the 1600
booster be fine for this configuration? I already have a set of 240K
struts and brakes lying around but I'm wondering if the 200B conversion
would be far more worthwile? I would consider the 200B conversion if
the advantages over the 240K conversion. Sorry for all the questions
but unfortunately the VL commdore(awesome brake setup though) option is
out 'cause I have 13 inch rims, just purchased and don't have the money or
need to be buying new ones in the forseeable future. Once again, sorry for all the questions but thanks a million for
reading it. Daniel Kroehn, devoted 1600 lover
and owner. P.S email-
