If you're disassembling the motor, I've done it by stripping the motor down to
the short block, getting 1 burly assistant to help lift and 1 to guide it onto
an old wheel in front of the car.
If not, I have heard of people dropping the x-member & motor onto the ground
( slowly ! ) then using many hands or big trolley jacks to lift the front end
up and back over the motor.
couldn't use either of those ideas on my mate's 460 cube XBGT !
