Dave,
I have heard of a number of these, particularly
ones with modified intakes and air pods, picking up water off the road leading
to destruction. Nissan are aware of the risks and are tight with this under
engine warranty.
A mate of mine did have this happen, was not
covered and the cheaper option was an import motor.
Being all electronic, the engine damage may have
affected the dash, can't confirm this though, just an opinion.
Might be a better option to put a GTir SR20det into
it =)
