Does anyone have a pic of one of these?
I have no idea how to even imagine how one of these would look.
Thanx,
Ash.

Richard,I
don't seem to have any good specs here but this little snippet of info
will give you a bit of an idea about the difference. These cars were ahead
of their time, some of the features found their way into the 1600
although whose idea was it to have a 99 litre fuel tank, start saving up
for a trip to the servo.BTW
The Prince Gloria was the luxury version of the Skyline.
PRINCE SKYLINE GT S54
SERIES 1965 - 1968
When Prince wanted to go racing with the Skyline someone
had the bright idea of taking out the 4cyl. engine and replacing it with
the 6cyl. from the S40 Gloria. At first a small number were built to homologate
the cars for racing, when these proved so popular they decided to put the
GT into full production. There was no way the 6cyl. engine would fit in
the S50, so what they did was they cut the car in front of the fire wall
and inserted an extra 8 inches of panel work into the nose of the car to
give the extra room needed. When you look inside the engine bay this modification
is clearly visible. This gave the car a very dramatic appearance with it's
long bonnet and short boot. It was available
in two versions, the "B" model had the 1988cc 6cyl. 127hp OHC G7 engine.
It had triple 40DCOE-18 Weber carbs, 5 speed close ratio gearbox, 99 litre
fuel tank, full instrumentation, limited slip diff, power brake booster
and a higher compression engine. The "A"
model had a 106hp single carb version of the G7 with a lower compression
ratio. Both models had disc front brakes with twin piston callipers and
alloy finned drums at the rear. Later models had flow through ventilation
with small eye ball vents added to the dashboard. Later cars were sold
as either a Prince A200GT or Nissan A200GT.
I'm keeping quiet on the whereabouts of
Prince Skyline until I decide whether I'm interested in takiing it on as
a restoration. I also need to see if I can do the conversions to
take it from a genuine GT - A to the sexier GT - B specs. Any
one have the original performance info on these two models?

GT's
MY FAVOURITE ALL TIME CAR With all the options (lsd, 5 speed,
4 wheel discs etc etc ) a very sweet car.I went for a drive in one when
i was very young and it was very new. I was 10 and our family car was a
Vanguard Spacemaster. It was the first time i saw a motor vehicle as being
for anything other than a people carrier. When this guy changed into 5th
at 100mph and those webers roared I was hooked.I have no idea what
they are worth but I'd love to own one..In fact I'd probly sell the 1600
to get one.I think there were lots of different Princes and they are not
all GT's.Will u let us know if u find out Richard.. BTW Where is it and
is there an asking price?cheersMick ----- Original Message -----

Anyone have an idea what a 1965
Prince Skyline GT-A is worth? This is the predecessor to the current
Skylines and 1600's. It looks like an elongated early 1600. The
one I looked at has rust in the lower doors and outer sills. Body
and interior is complete, straight and in original paint. It is a
four speed GTA but comes with the GT-B triple weber manifold and three
dial dashboard. No 5 speed or LSD however.
