yeah that's the reason I was thinking back end troubles myself....because under brakes makes little to no difference
I know it probably sounds stupid but I swear it feels like the entire diff has some kind of tortional (spelling?) twist

David,
From the symptoms you definitely have a dangerous situation on your hands here. It could be either front or rear but you have a suspension component either broken or as near as. On the rear I'd be looking at A arm mounts to the body or the moustache bar. On the front check t/c rod mounts, lower control rods and steering rods. To send you off line like that under acceleration a component is moving in a fore and aft plane (i.e. head light to tail light direction) which will induce a condition called torque steer.

What happens under brakes? (if you're game to try). If it goes off line I'd be leaning towards a problem in the front and if braking doesn't do much I'd be looking under the back first off.

Subject: serious problem

I'm having a problem with my car at the moment and I'm getting worried cause it's getting worse and it's VERY dangerous

when I accelerate the car pulls HARD to the left really sharply and suddenly, pulls to the left for about 2 -3 metres then returns to normal (no pull either side)
then whenever I take my foot off the throttle the exact opposite happens, it pulls HARD to the right, again very violently and suddenly then goes fine after a few meters

it doesn't seem to be affected by speed, it's just as bad at low speeds as high speeds, but I do noticing it getting worse
to give an example of how bad it is, I know it happens so basically I'm ready for it and can counter it straight away but yesterday I wasn't think and forgot about it, I accelerated in 2nd, then backed off the accelerator to change to 3rd and the car pulled so violently to the right that I drifted accross into the on coming lane and almost had a head on

can anyone make any suggestions what it could possibly be cause as you can imagine if I don't fix it soon it's only a matter of time before it causes an accident

Thanks in advance
Dave
