Adam, it's the spring car
nationals in shepparton this weekend. there are supercruise,
motorkahna, burnout comps, go to whoa and shit like that at the DECA grounds
(Near the goulbourne valley auto wreckers). It's usually a big weekend. plenty
of cars and skids and shit happening on the main drag (past the lake) of a
saturday night. Cops are pretty tolerant, but there is a lot of dickheads in
the crowds in the past couple of years. If the crowd (on the street at night)
want you to do skids when you do a u turn and you dont, then watch out for
stray stubbies and boots.
Go up and cruise around, take a few mates and a
baseball bat.
No, most of the crowd is pretty good, just keep
an eye on the fuckwits. Go early and park at the lake sit back and watch the
hoons go by.
As far as cops go, the locals are better than the
TOG's. I done a line locker at a set of lights then proceeded to whip a
commodores ass in my charger (120-140km/rh in the main street) and got picked
up by the uniform coppers (not tog). They told us to slow down and kill
ourselves out of town somewhere. It was a pretty stupid thing to be doing, but
i couldn't believe we got let off. It sure as hell slowed me down for a couple
of months.
Anyway, shep is a good time, but watch the
clowns, dont speed in town.. You can get away with the odd skid or
two.
And they usually have noise tests
somewhere.
