Ok thanks for the help on the ammetre...so I bought some more gauges...temp,
oil and vacuum. I have a few problems with the L20B though...
Oil pressure:
The factory oil switch thread is tapered I think and seems slightly smaller
than the fitting that comes with the oil gauge. I tried to taper the end of
it a bit with a file but it's way too big for the block...it screws in about
1 and a half turns so I need an adaptor that fits the L20B block...anyone
what is the difference between the thread on the block and the thread with
the gauge? It's a Trisco (cheap and nasty) from Supercheap.
Vacuum:
Where do I install it?
The hose out of the intake manifold has a valve or something inside of it
and when I use this hose the vacuum gauge doesnt read right. It sits on 0
until I give it some revs and it jumps back a bit. When I hook the gauge up
to the fittingright on the manifold it works fine, so I think the hose is
blocked by the valve or whatever it is. What is it anyway?
