Hi List
I have been told by an engineer and a engine builder that any L series
datsun with an alloy head can run unleaded fuel, it does not need LRP as
alloy heads are softer than the valves so valve recession or scoring would
not be a problem. Appartently using unleaded fuel is only a big problem if
the head is cast iron obviously much harder than aluminium where valve
problems occur.
But I am still a bit careful, I use premium every other tank full.
