No, the 1600 SSS came from the factory with 13x5.5 either in steel,
minilite, Enkei (imported Japanese) or in Aus they used an ROH wheel that we
flogged to the masses, just can't remember the name but it was a minilite
look-a-like. Could have been Contessa or something that sounds like that,
it's funny that we never see these wheels around these days.
The largest registrable wheel on a 1600 without engineers is a 15" and the
tyre height mustn't be more than +5% over a 165SR13. Rego don't actually
measure the tyre height, they work it out on revolutions per kilometre with
is basically the same thing. I think 205/50x15 just scrape in, 195/50x15 are
fine as they are actually smaller overall than a 165SR13.
