Jon,
in answer to your second question, yes, it will fit without any drama,
the comp housing is larger, but not excessively so that it would obstruct
anything, all oil and cooling lines will fit, worst case scenario is may
have to rotate the centre to line the fittings up, which is a simple matter
of loosening the bolts around the housings (T28s use bolts, T25s use
circlips) twisting to the desired position, the turbine housings are the
same, and all existing dump pipe connections will bolt up as per the
original. The only change that has to be made is the T25s feed the
wastegate actuator from the actual compressor housing, where the 200SX T28
feeds from the intake side of the IC, so a thread has to be tapped into the
compressor outlet pipe to accept a barbed connector, or conversely fit one
closer to the intake manifold.
with the fitting closer to the turbo, you will experience far less boost
"spikes" then what you will if you plumb it further away.
Also make sure the turbo is off a 200SX and not just an SR20DET as the early
models S13s/ U13s etc actually used what is termed a T25G, which is
basically a T25 with a bigger comp wheel, and different trims.
I played with the same setup on my CA18DET 180SX before ditching the T28 and
fitting a more efficient turbo to it.
