Terry,
I have the M/C with twin reservoirs. Later model Stanzas had the PBR single reservoir.
My M/C uses fluid level sensors.

The brake light came on just before my alternator said 'smoke me a kipper, I'll be
back for breakfast'.

I need the warning light to work as I have just changed to rear discs and don't want
any nasty surprises.
Unless of course it is working and trying to tell me something???!!!???

Brakes pull up well, there is some inconsistencies in pedal travel and feel - there
might still be air in there. No leaks and good proportioning though

Nick

Nick,

Doesn't the brake warning light come on only in the start position, most
cars without puters did it that way. The Stanza brake warning light from
memory isn't actually a low fluid level but a warning that you have a
pressure difference between the front and rear circuits in the cylinder.
Have a look and see if yours has a switch half way along the cylinder. If it
is this type they used to jam if you have a dirty cylinder (inside) and can
also jam if you only bleed one circuit and not the other.

regards
Terry

  List,
How does the brake warning light work?
There is a plunger sensor in the fluid reservoir, but how does the light
come on when the ignition is switched on but the motor is not running?
  (I don't have a wiring diagram)

My warning light is on during normal driving, I don't know why though?
  Thanks,
  Nick
