Mine has 219 on the front but nothing on the side. Other features are peanut
chambers, 42mm inlets, 33 exhausts valves and inlet ports are bigger than
stock 1600 (38mm??). I am guessing mine is early 1600 sss due to the smaller
33mm exhaust valves????

I have sent the head down South after being contacted by a guy who was
restoring a genuine SSS and was missing the SSS head. I am trying to
remember the number on the side but Terry should be able to tell you. I
think it was 819 or 219. (Help Terry) The main difference is the porting and
valve size. The inlet port size is similar to a 200B as I used to run the
200B extractor gasket. The inlet valves are also larger than the stock 1600
ones.
