Andrew,
In a word DONT use spacers if at all possible. Fitting longer wheel studs
will only cause the studs to flex even more due to spacer deflection. My
thoughts anyway

Subject: Wheel spacers
What would be the max thickness for wheel spacers.I have a set of sss
bluebird rims that would come up well if polished or maybe sprayed
metalic gold.At a guess i'd say I would have to space them around 25mm
and fit longer studs.
