here in perth they allow a 25% or 30% increase in capacity i think.
i had some serious problems getting my Z18ET 1600 over the pits in perth
because i had put R31 rear discs on and the fronts were 200B Girlock with a
180B Dual reservoir m/cyl. The engine was passed with a phone call... they
rang
a guy they use for getting ideas on how much hp import motors have as
they had some limit on that too (i think 20%)... they happened to ring a guy
i used
regularly and he just said, "yeah, thats within the limits" and that was
that.
from a stock L16 to a Z18ET was less than 20%?? but come to the brakes and
3 of the pits
i went to said "we need someone to sign off on the brakes, we wont take
liablility for them"
there was only one guy in perth who had the little program and the G-tech to
measure
stopping distance relative to pedal pressure and ra ra ra ra. he wanted
$400 a pop and said
it will need 2 trials. so $800... anyways, the fourth pits i took it to,
didn't even check them..
got away scott free. they signed off on the brakes thinking they had been
checked.. all systems nelly
