DET dan,
Do you know if the 93- Supra TT (550cc)
93- TT RX7 primary (550cc) sec (850cc)
are of the same type as the FJ injectors ie hose barb fuel connector etc.
Regards
Trev

Subject: Re: FJ Turbo Injectors
The fuel pressure is determined by the regulator,
which is controlled by vaccuum. Higher performance
pumps will just flow more fuel and maintain a more
even pressure at the fuel rail. Something like a
Kamikaze or Holley EFI pump might work well, or you
might use 2 pumps in tandem ,like a Bosch or JECS.
Moving to an adjustable regulator like a Malpassi or
similar will let you give the pressure a linear rise
as revs/ boost increase which keeps more fuel to the
injectors. They're also a lot stronger than the factory
unit which can be overpowered by a hi-po pump. I'm
really not sure on the flow rate of the factory Fjt
injectors (anybody?) I think they are around 440cc. *
Rough * calculation (convert flow rate to lbs/hr by
dividing cc by 10.5) would be
flow rate x no. injectors x 0.8 (max safe duty cycle)
--------------------------------------------
0.5 (approx. brake fuel consumption)
so
41.9 x 4 x 0.8 = 268 hp (at 80% duty)
--------------
0.5
So upgrading injectors would be a good idea,
Here's some that might work out :
93- Supra TT (550cc)
93- TT RX7 primary (550cc) sec (850cc)
