When I wanted an O2 sensor to do some tuning on my N/A L20 I got one from a VN commodore which had 2 wires. One was the signal wire, the other was the signal earth, which was attached to the body of the sensor. I ran both wires back to the display circuit. They had a special connector which looked loke a double barrel shotgun, from the end. I also had a look at the VT Series I and it had the same 2 wire sensor. As far as I know you don't need the heating wires, that was just part of the push to keep emmisions down when driving while cold. The threads are the same too, for all the sensors I have tried.

Can this be done? Does the Commodore sensor screw into the existing O2 thread? The RB20 has a three wire, so assuming Holden followed the Nissan example I would have thought Commodores (vn-vt) used at least a three wire sensor?
