List,

Does anyone know much about the Infininty V8 4.5L DE? Is the crank a flat
plane configuration? I am guessing it is. I know it is being used in the
indy racing league. I have driven a Q45 and the engine is very much like
driving my Nissan Micra 1.3L.

The link describes the difference between Cross plane and flat plane V8's.

use push rods for fucks sake! if a manufacturer made a well balanced 3 liter
v8, using quad cams and 4 or 5 valves per cylinder, that would change the
whole equation and put out the same if not more power. torque may be down a
bit, but nothing forced induction cant fix!!!
