To put it bluntly, there's probably a very good reason that you got it for free, and that is that they're shithouse engines :)
 
However, if you got the whole shebang, it is possible to use the EFI computer, airflow meter etc on a L series.  You'd have to find an EFI manifold to fit the CA20 injectors.  It would be a good (and free) stepping stone to a EFI turbo L (with an aftermarket ECU) as a one day when I have the cash project.

The CA20-S: (1974cc) OHC 4cyl, 8 valve, twin spark plug, 2barrell d/d carb. Came in Bluebird series III - 98hp.

The CA20-E: (1974cc) OHC 4cyl, 8 valve, twin spark plug, EFI. Came in Gazelle (1985) - 104hp

But why bother with a CA????? 'Cause the standard 180B SSS with the L18 (1770) + twin SUs -110hp
