Hey fellas, who has done an engineered 1600 in Victoria recently? If you have, could you give me some guidelines as to what I can and can't do, and what probs you had. I don't want it to be a road driven car, but want to drive it to and from track days, and the occasional Sunday cruise. It will be getting a sr20de, upgraded brakes (a setup that doesn't need mods - like some twin piston sumo's front, and some sort of disk combo for rear), r180 diff, fully stripped inside (basically set up purely for racing purposes) with racing seat, harness, for engineers I presume I have to have a passenger seat and seat belt (do I need to put in the rear seats?). Don't want to have any trim, carpets and all the bull shit. Will be doing all the wiring myself. Will try to make up/modify mounts, cross member and stuff myself. Also roll cage... Also, when it comes to cutting out rust and welding in new steel, do I need to pass this by an engineer, or do I just not tell him I have done it? One example of where I have to do this is the drivers floor, which is quite badly rusted (through in some places, like accelerator mount), and will have to be totally replaced. Also other things like fuel supply, pump will be mounted under the car basically, do I have to retain a spare tyre wheel well...
any info would be appreciated. regards Greg --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
