Title: RE: Draft 1 was: Parking Fine - nature strip

I understand where you are coming from but to keep the system fair it is best to fight from both sides, ie.  Prosecute and defend.  Otherwise if nobody defended and everybody just paid the fine then the system wouldn't be accountable.

P.S. - I have seen some streets which are far too narrow to park on so maybe sometimes the nature strip is the only safe option.  But this really isn't datsuns so I'll stop typing.

It is harsh, i'll agree with you there criag, but hopefully people can see
    my point.

If everyone tries to or gets out of them why do we bother having parking
inspectors or parking by-laws at all?  I know this is the end of the scale,
but if none of the rules existed then why not just park in the middle of
    the road?

The easy way for local govt and the like to get less money out of you/us is
not to do anything wrong? surely we should all be trying to do things right
anyway, not so that the govt likes us but so that the same is done back to
    us.

But this and the previous post is just my three cents worth.  Take it if
you wish or ignore it, your choice
