I use the end mounting plates that are on the 1972 510 cross member and put them on the inside and use a 1969 crossmember.

Hey guys,
a mate of mine is bolting a 240k 5 speed up to the back of his l20B in his 1600. He used the standard crossmember and reversed it which almost lined up the holes which is OK but the actual crossmember doesn't touch the floor pan. There is about an 1 inch gap. I remember with mine, we used the old radius rod bushes and longer high tensile bolts to solve the problem. I was just wondering what others do to solve this problem?
Cheers
