Mark
this is a testy one, but if you are running club car, i assume you are
(improved production) as i was, then it depends on what gearbox you a re
running and also what diff ratio!!!! Very important.
My combination was on a circuit 4.6 diff with 260z box, and 14inch wheels,
now i seemed to be able to hold out the others in my class by a good second
or so depending on the day and who had the biggest brass balls on the day.
but 98% of the time i would come home first in class. Different situation
now as you have to run control tyres, but you should still be able to get
the same advantage as i did, if you try this combination, just a suggestion,
but it worked for me. Depending on the track too, if it was say philip
island then i would try say a 4.4 or 4.11 diff, but leave the gearbox as is.
Now i'm currently running 13inch wheels as i'm in sports sedan class, so i'm
yet to experience the difference as i have only done hilllclimbs so far. But
what i have noticed is that you come out of acorner a hell of alot quicker
than with 14's, as the revs are already mid torque range.( hence no bog
down)
I would stick to the 13's and play with ratios.
