Is there a W block L20 or Z20 ?

how are they distinguished?

Are they hard to find?

W types aren't "later" - they are Nissan's industrial strength blocks and have extra ribbing and amazing water capacity, probably a kilo or 2 heavier but they are that good we don't care. We used to call them "Siamese" blocks but we were referring only to the water jackets. They use them in trucks and fork lifts etc and most of the Nissan works engines were based on the W block (from L18 on) as I don't think I've seen a L16W block.

Terry

Surprising the variations in different L blocks, the later (W?) type seem to have a lot more bracing structure to them compared to the earlier style..
