Would be great to see some more 1600's mixing it up at targa...

This is from the sup regs for Targa:

2.6 Modifications permitted in Group 1MS

2.6.1 Engine changes will only be permitted with the approval

of the organisers, and using an engine from the same

manufacturer, and from a vehicle within the same

category.

So I guess the real question is when the FJ20 engine first come out?

For personal interest, what cars had the fj20 engine as standard?

A car in targa can run any engine they want, so long as it is from the same manufacturer and of the same vintage.

Engine capacity can be whatever you want, you just get put into a class for the bigger engine. (someone posted a whole heap of targa pics, one of which was a blue mini. It had a 1500cc engine in it and ran class C in classic rather than class b with the other mini's)

Errol - I thought for Targa engine capacity had to stay original - how

come they can run 1800cc?
