I fitted a Clark rubber profile to the lid section of the boot rather than
in the normal channel on the body.  It seals just outside the channel and
works very well.  No water or dust get past it. This method keeps the
channel clean and prevents water and dirt build up under the channel rubber
which causes rust in the channel.
