Depends on the quality of the moulds and the work. It always pays
to give them a sand if you want a good finish. Don't cut corners with
painting fiberglass or it will look like shit. Fiberglass guards are made
for weight reduction, looks were never really a concern. If you want good
looking finish on fiberglass guards I suggest you take your time to get them
perfectly smooth and use a good fiberglass specific etch
primer.
