All fiberglass guards for a 510 I've seen weight more than the steel ones,heaps more.

I was looking at R32 GTR ones today,alloy very light very nice.

Depends on the quality of the moulds and the work.  It always pays to give them a sand if you want a good finish.  Don't cut corners with painting fiberglass or it will look like shit.  Fiberglass guards are made for weight reduction, looks were never really a concern.  If you want good looking finish on fiberglass guards I suggest you take your time to get them perfectly smooth and use a good fiberglass specific etch primer.

does anyone onlist have glass panels that have been painted? i heard a rumour that they do not look straight (ripples etc), this is a dodgy rumour though and i wanted to find out before i purchased.
