Making bellhousings isn't that hard or expensive. Mask a positive mould using fibreglass/bog/plastic whatever, wander it over to a friendly foundary, get them to sand cast it (cost me NZ$250 last time), and machine it on your cheap 'n cheerful chinese milling machine which you already have (or should have). Only tricky bit is getting the dowel holes correctly located. Just need some lateral thinking, and perhaps some offset dowels if you get it wrong...
