so you would make up new brackets and bolt them in place of the original caliper mounts???

sounds good, like pete liebig has done with his car?

i have a list of suitable rotors that might fit the 240k, 200b or 1600 strut. Until recently i thought the camry/apollo rotor would be best but the caliper touches the rotor hat. The 50mm thick GTR or 300zx rotor is about 4mm too high and just touches the lower control arm. Looks like i might have to get a rotor which is slightly bigger in diameter like a 3000gt or mr2 rotor.

Im planning on using Z32 Calipers with bolt on Alumium brackets (welded brackets are not legal here in NZ) The main problem is finding a thick enough rotor, the Skyline/Z rotor would be ideal, though someone mentioned using an Audi unit which might adapt to the Datsun hubs a little easier. From what I can gather the R31 GTS strut can be used which has the same bolt spacing for the Z calipers. The later calipers also bolt onto the earlier (z31) 300ZX though the strut is offset and wouldn't work in a 1600. I agree that the 240K 2 spots still give pretty good braking for a street driven car.
