This is a datsun list.. doubt you'll get anyone saying to not buy a zed... hehe.. I own a 240Z which I picked up for $2000 in pretty good nick, and i'm currently in the throws of putting an L28 in it. All up I figure it'll owe me around $5K with $2K of that being on the L28. If i wasn't going to put an RB26 in it (which i fear is out of both our budgets) I would/will be doing this: - L28: ~$500 - rebuild with forgies: $1500(?) - Custom tuned length exhaust manifold to T3/T4: $800 (?) - T3/T4 combo good for 400hp $1500 (?) - 3" exhaust ~$500 - R200 LSD ~$800 - gearbox? - Aftermarket EFI ~$1200
So all that comes out to around around $7K (in reality probably closer to $8K). When it was all going you could have one fast ass car for a little bit more than $12K. Sorry for rambling..
