Hi listers,
I'm putting the finishing touches to an L20B rally
motor for my 1600.
It's a spare unused rally motor that I picked
up cheap and was built
by some expert builder in Melbourne -the name
escapes me (was it Colin??).
I think everything that can be done to increase the
performance of
an L20B has been done to this motor, with a view to
reliability.
An identical motor by the same guy dynoed
197Hp at the (aluminium) flywheel.
Yeah I know it's not great compared to an SR20DET
or FJ20T but at least
I won't be competing against exotic turbo supercars
when I go tarmac rallying!
And the sound of those twin ported weber
45s..................anyway,
this particular setup requires a set 4.4mm thick
lash pads.
(is that .175 thousand in inches?)
Apparently the lash pads have to come from the
eastern states -I am in Perth.
Anyone know where I can get a set locally or
interstate?
Muchas grazias
Rob P
