The supercharger there talking about is from the 1GZE which is larger than the
unit from the 1600 4AGZE.I dont think i'd be keen on running one with no ecu
mods.I'd be checking it with an oxy sensor.Superchargers usually boost from low
rpm.They are not as efficient as a turbocharger especially the roots
type.Superchargers use up hp driving them where as a turbo is basically free hp
with backpressure being  only a slight restriction.Most modern turbos are about
60 to 80% effiient when it comes to pressurising.Roots style superchargers are
generally under 60%.Ive spoken to a guy who has fitted one of these
superchargers to his 3.8.He is running about 7psi with water injection and a
remapped ecu.He claims it goes as well as his 5L VT ss.
