Rob,
Do you want to buy my whiteline adjustable front bar for your 1600.Going
cheap at $100 which is half price and its virtully unused.

let you know how they go, I'll drop the engine in some time this monthand

These are a pretty good set of jets
for rallying an L20B engine. I was wondering if Les sets them up
richer.

I promise to use it for good, not
evil, although the power of the dark sideis
an easier, faster path.........The
manifold is not Datrally as far as I can tell but is port matched and polishedand
comes in two peices. Inside are allloy rods and Vignolia (spelling?) pistons,280zx
valves etc etc.As for the
weber jet settings, I have not looked at them but the guy threw in aspare
set of jets for them and said the carbies had been acid dipped andhad
not been set up for the motor. So at least Ive got a couple of different
sets to play with.I've never
owned Webers so I hav'nt got a clue what I'm talking about but a chartI
printed from the internet gives me some recommended jet and venturi sizes.Actually
the chart for "L20B Recommended for Rally Use" has "submitted by: Richard
Clough" on it!! Do
you still stand by these specs Richard? Motor:
L20B, 2 x 45DCOE Webers, 3200rpm cam Main
Venturi
36Main Jet
135Emulsion Tube
F15Pump Jets
45Auxillary Venturi
5.5Air Correction Jet
unknownIdle Jet
50F9Bleed Back Jets

If you have a genuine Les Collins
(original Datrally) built engine, use it well, its the best you can get
in Aus.Do you know the various
jet settings in the Webers?

Subject: Lash Pads for L20B
Hi listers,I'm
putting the finishing touches to an L20B rally motor for my 1600.It's
a spare unused rally motor that I picked up cheap and was builtby
some expert builder in Melbourne -the name escapes me (was it Colin??).I
think everything that can be done to increase the performance ofan
L20B has been done to this motor, with a view to reliability. An
identical motor by the same guy dynoed 197Hp at the (aluminium) flywheel.Yeah
I know it's not great compared to an SR20DET or FJ20T but at leastI
won't be competing against exotic turbo supercars when I go tarmac rallying! And
the sound of those twin ported weber 45s..................anyway,this
particular setup requires a set 4.4mm thick lash pads.(is
that .175 thousand in inches?)Apparently
the lash pads have to come from the eastern states -I am in Perth.Anyone
know where I can get a set locally or interstate? Muchas
grazias Rob P
