WEll i've had 3 core jobs done on other radiators in  (shhhhh)  escorts and i didnt solve much thats all.   Ive been bulding this motor and set up for a while now and i just want it to run well! with out these hassles.  I think that i'd prefer to bolt something else in there that im sure will do the trick rather than go the expence of a 3 core jobby.  Ive noticed that a number of people have used commodore radiators from early ones VB - VH.  I might see if i cant get something there.   Yer  i agree on the water pump pully, this is an old trick on the Chevs aswell!   Thanks for the info. ----- Original Message ----- From: Terry Rudd To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 23, 2002 6:59 PM Subject: RE: Radiator Chris,   You can use the Japanese version of the N13 radiator with the L engine as the outlets are on the correct side, downer with this radiator though is the inlet/outlet hose sizes are very small. A 3 core done right will freeze the average L series engine driven on the street - they are brilliant and I've used them on L rally engines pulling in excess of 200 hp screaming at 7000+ rpm all day in back blocks of the Riverina at 35C temps with only a piddly 10" thermo fan set at 100c that only comes on at the check point when it's all over. I've used 3 core radiators in my L powered 1600's for yonks and never ever had an over heating problem - over cooling in Canberra winters though but that's another issue.   Another trick to cool a warm L series is to use a water pump off an air conditioned Stanza or Bluebird.
