In car boost adjustment

hey list


i have a few problems with my car.. i have changed it so i can adjust the boost inside the car with the tap i originally had in the engine bay...I have it venting straight in to the cabin is this right because i am loosing boost..normally when it is shut all the way off i get 8 psi and i only get 5psi and full open is only 15psi instead of 20psi... Do i need to bleed it back into the systems as that was the way it was in the engine bay but that means i need to run to pipes one in one out...any help would be great...
